Setting Hands

At Ginault, every detail matters, which is why each watch hand undergoes a rigorous inspection and beveling process before it becomes part of Ginault timepiece.

We carefully examine each hand under magnification, checking for the evenness of the lume application to ensure a uniform glow in low light conditions.

The facets and cuts of each hand are also meticulously beveled, ensuring that every edge is sharp, clean, and consistent. If there is even the slightest trace of lume spilling onto the metal parts, we delicately clean the area to remove any marks, ensuring a flawless finish. This thorough process guarantees that only the highest quality components make it into a Ginault watch, reflecting our commitment to excellence in every detail.

The process of mounting the hands to the movement is performed with the utmost precision and care. Each set of hands is meticulously aligned and fitted, ensuring they sit perfectly in place without the slightest deviation.

Specialized tools are used to gently press the hands onto the movement, ensuring that they are securely fastened while maintaining the correct clearance between each hand to prevent any friction or misalignment.

This delicate process requires a steady hand and keen eye, as even the smallest mistake can cause the hands to not sit leveled which affects the watch’s performance. At Ginault, we take great pride in this craftsmanship, knowing that every timepiece is a testament to our dedication to perfection.
