An experienced collector can often differentiate a high premium timepiece vs an entry level one just by inspecting the fit & finish of the mid-case. How well the mid-case is finished also shows the skills of the watchmaker.
Achieving the highest premium finish on the mid case of our watches involves a series of meticulous and skill-intensive processes. Each mid case (after the CNC process) is subjected to multiple stages of hand brushing, polishing and finishing.
After the case is sanded to remove any imperfections, it follows a series of progressively finer abrasives to achieve an ultra smooth surface (mirror polish), or in the case of the top of the lugs, they go through a very carefully done circular brushing process. Attention is given to every curve and edge, ensuring excellence and brilliance. This rigorous process not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the watch but also highlights the superior craftsmanship and dedication to quality that defines Ginault, ensuring that each timepiece is a true work of art.
